About the Surgery PDF Print E-mail

We have a new purpose built surgery, which opened in September 2006, with a large customer car park including disabled spaces with easy access to the building via a ramp leading up to the front door.

Facilites include:

  • Ample off road parking, including disabled
  • All amenities under one roof
  • Free nurse appointments
  • In-house laboratory
  • Tier 2 status in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme

We are the only independent veterinary surgery in Ely

In the spacious reception room pets feel more relaxed whilst waiting to be seen. There is enough room for both dogs and cats to occupy different areas. Floor level weighing scales have been fitted to make dogs feel more at ease and the whole building is fully air conditioned.

We have state of the art operating and hospitalisation facilities and on site living accommodation for our on-call vets when looking after intensive care patients.

We have separate large dog and cat wards, reducing the stress for all patients. The dog ward is generously filled with large walk in kennels giving comfort to larger dogs. In both wards the lighting can be controlled to an optimum level to reduce stress. There is a large isolation facility for any infectious cases.

Adjacent to the large central preparation room, we have dental, orthopaedic and surgical operating theatres, along with an X-ray/ultrasound room.

We have four vet and two nurse consulting rooms and don’t forget nurse consultations are still free of charge.
